After Hintok, we decided to go to this resort which is nearby. And everything was so amazing. The idea of no electricity served on board makes this place very unique.
At first we thought we migThis was a last minute, poorly-researched booking.. but one that I was SO happy to have stumbled upon. The boat ride up to the hotel is a great way to start, very convenient, minimal wait. Super-friendly and helpful staff, great food, clean and nicely decorated, private cabins. Close to a number of interesting venues like the Tiger Temple and Hellfire Pass. Tours/transportation to a number of activities can be arranged there at the hotel. However, there at the hotel itself, there is absolute peace and quiet, little paths winding through the greenery. Very nice. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at the River Kwai Resotel as part of a two day tour from Bangkok. Our room was a cute thatched cottage in a tropical garden setting. The staff are extremely friendly, meals are excellent and there is a great atmosphere and ambience. A good stopping point for visiting the Bridge over the River Kwai, He’ll Fire Pass, etc.

My favorite hotel/resort on our trip. I felt like I was really in the jungle. Gorgeous tropical setting, very quiet and peaceful on the River Kwai. (Only access is by boat). Beautiful, classic, old style jungle lodge for reception, restaurant, massage. Thatched roof jungle huts with comfy beds, nice shower/bath. Wonderful service..my idea of paradise!
